The Lincoln
Industrial chic cocktail bar.
Never judge a book by its cover… or a bar by it’s front door, a saying that rings true for this Venice located lounge/bar, The Lincoln. What looks as though you’re about to walk into an auto repair shop or garage from the outside, is surprisingly a bit of cocktail bar magic on the inside. Found on the corner of Washington and Lincoln, the street it sits on is lined with auto repair shops, not unlike the exterior of Lincoln. Stepping inside to find the interior is a sexy open floor plan that will most definitely make you consider designing your own home after it.
To go along with the auto garage feel, cool car artifacts like Mercedes source books and even a 1927 Model T Roadster on display behind glass. You’ll find most of the cocktails you’d find at any good prohibition era style cocktail bar, along with a good selection of rotating wines by the glass and beer. Drinks called “Bitter About my Hot Friend” (house-infused spicy tequila, lemon, carrot, turmeric) and “The Care Bear Stare” (vodka, rose, lemon, elderflower) are just a couple examples of the cocktail creativity!
As small as it may look on the outside, It’s got a spacious enclosed open air patio and a large indoor area with multiple different areas for small groups to hang, including several couches. Insider’s tip: go from 7pm-9pm and you’ll feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. There is a bouncer and the line gets long after that!
