8 Patio Dining Pasadena Restaurants to Escape to This Week
It’s frustrating to have to say, yet again, the restaurant industry has come to a screeching halt after news last week that ordered all patio dining to close starting Wednesday night at 10pm. Driving down my local Santa Monica street, seeing all my favorite restaurants closed up, felt almost like PTSD from the first days of COVID lockdowns. I’m hoping we can get a handle on the surging cases so that 3 weeks doesn’t turn into any longer than it needs to be. Until we know more, I had to resolve myself to just hoping the best for those out of a job these next 3 weeks, in the middle of the holiday season.
The good news about two LA counties (Long Beach and Pasadena) being on different healthcare systems is that in these moments, they get to call the shots for whether they’re following county-wide measures. This time, they’ve decided to stay the course and keep outdoor dining open. Five restaurants have been closed in the last few days for violating safety measures so rest assured, if you’re going to one of these restaurants, you’ll be safe. And although Pasadena may be way out of the way for most of you and not quite the vibe of a Venice or Silverlake, at least it’s something to hold you over in these next few weeks of another stay at home order. Here are 8 patio restaurants to escape to in Pasadena this week.
