BYOB at this Latin Infused Caribbean Restaurant
You know those hole in the walls that don't get any of the attention because their aesthetic isn't as pleasing to the eye but the food is so good? Those are my favorite kind of finds. And depending on what your vibe is, Cha Cha Chicken is most definitely that. Also with how expensive cocktails can be in Los Angles, (two cocktails in and you've already paid more in drinks than you did your entree) it’s nice to have the option to bring your own alcohol. And at this Caribbean Latin fusion outdoor restaurant, you can do just that.
Being that it is Caribbean cuisine with a Latin infusion, you'll see platters with enchiladas, fried plantains AND Jamaican style Jerk chicken. You order before you sit down and be prepared for the line. It can get pretty long but the 30-45 minutes wait IS WORTH IT. There were just a few seats inside but since newly renovating to accommodate COVID restrictions, it’s safe, spacious, and the Jamaican feel on the patio will pair perfectly with your Jamaican Jerk Chicken.
Definitely try the Jamaican soda; they're fruity and refreshing and another great pairing with the Jamaican feel patio. The spicy jerked wings are a little spicy and sweet taste of Heaven with coconut battered chicken wings in a sweet and spicy pineapple jerk sauce. All the platters are stacked with filling portions but worth every calorie you’ll be inhaling. If the patio is full, grab it to go and walk just a few blocks to have your Caribbean Latin dinner on the beach.
