The Perch
Rooftop bar and restaurant.
French small plates & full bar.
If you’ve been in LA for any amount time, you’ll most likely already have heard about the most ‘Instagrammable’ rooftop bar in LA, the Perch. It’s one of the most ‘hidden in plain sight’ LA attraction and feels almost as if you have to be a part of a secret society to get in. The ground level elevator stops you at the 13th floor to jump off and get on another ‘secret’ elevator that only goes to the Perch. A French inspired rooftop bistro, you get the stunning views of DTLA and the elegant, Parisian vibes of our current Netflix obsession, ‘Emily in Paris’.
If you thought hopping onto a second elevator was exclusive, wait until you have to catch ANOTHER elevator hidden beside the main level bar. But before you get to that third elevator, you’re greeted by the hostess stand at the very entrance into bar bistro. The indoor bar/restaurant flows onto the outdoor patio, creating a breeze and light filled main area during brunch. At night, the flow of the city lights and outdoor candles are seen just past a mix of dining tables and the kind of large, leather tufted couches you’d find in an old man’s library/study area.
The indoor area is anchored by a large bar centering the back side of the room. One of two bars at the perch, this one is the largest and most impressive, anchoring the entire room in front of it. The main level patio has wrap around seating for dining with incredible views day or night, sometimes accompanied by live jazz . As you make your way up to the very top level, you’ll find it to be much more a lounge vibe, again, complete with a small bar on the level too. Lots of group seating options here with even more magical views of the city.
Make a reservation before you go for Saturday/Sunday brunch or dinner any night of the week from 5pm-11pm on the 15th floor and 6:30pm - 11pm on the 16th floor.
