A Much Needed Cup of 'Go Get Em Tiger' the Morning After
Well, if you’re reading this, you’ve just survived Election Day. We still have days to go with mail in ballots still making their way into to be counted, but we’re almost out of the woods. Now what? A sweet cup of coffee to reward yourself this Wednesday morning from the most appropriately named ‘Original LA Coffeebar’, Go Get Em Tired. Whatever side of the election you are on, we all can agree that today of all days calls for a nice, fancy cup of coffee.
Located in the heart of Windsor Square, Go Get Em Tiger embodies a slightly classier side to the LA coffee industry. Its white walls and polished wood tables give it a sleekness that compliments the childlike bouquets and brightly colored lamps. And, if the potted flowers and polished wood don’t sound aesthetic enough, the gigantic sketch of a skydiving astronaut located directly above the barista bar might just do the trick.
GGET goes a step beyond the typical coffee shop by producing their own almond and macadamia nut milk, a unique concoction that makes drinks such as the "Business and Pleasure" one worth making the trip for. You can then find a seat at one of the few lofted tables jutting directly from the wall or venture out to socialize on the shaded bench-seating.
The first location popped up in Windsor Square, a strip of local cafes and clothing stores that possesses a small town feel and a quiet oasis in the midst of an often hectic county. Since its arrival in Larchmont Village in 2013, six other locations have opened in Los Feliz, Highland Park, Row DTLA, WeHo, Santa Monica, and Culver City. Before you caffeinated your way through all the other locations, head over to the original coffee bar in Larchmont and enjoy some caffeinated peace and quiet amidst a hectic week
