Bourbon Steak
On the corner of Brand Blvd and Colorado Ave, sitting at the front of the Americana is Bourbon Steak, one of the classiest happy hours in Glendale. The restaurant is divided into three parts, a patio seating area, the bar area, then a large open dining room. The impressive display of spirits, especially bourbon, greets you center stage, to assure you that you've sat down in the right place.
The bar area is accessible and expansive, with just the right amount of the 'lounge feel' to make you forget there's an even larger dining room just behind you. If you're feeling extra fancy, one of the unique features of Bourbon are their 'Flights of Fancy' featuring hand selected bourbons. (This does not fall under happy hour, so be prepared.)
For happy hour, all of the food is delicious and greasy, as a good happy hour should be! The trio of duck fat fries is a must, with three different types fries matched with different sauces to go with them. The Hot Water, complete with tequila, watermelon, jalepeño, and lime is the perfect choice for a spicy cocktail. And of course, an old fashion is available for happy hour which is always a solid cocktail choice!
